Sisters and babies

Do you Pinterest? I just discovered it this week. It's awesome. Rather than having to google ideas, pictures and tutorials, they are right at your fingertips. Genious. I saw this tutorial on how to make this pregnant skeleton shirt and HAD to make it for my sister that is having a baby in a month. Love it. Makes me happy.

She and I were laughing (When I say that we were laughing, we LAUGH!! Hard!!) this past week when asking her what she needed for her baby. She said that she really didn't need anything. Well, you don't just gift because someone needs something. You gift because you genuinely love the person and want to celebrate whatever the occasion. Or not occasion for that matter. Did you know that you can do that? I love doing that. After laughing and laughing, I came to the conclusion that I'd get diapers. But, that is so not me. She jokingly said to "bling" them out. She had no idea that I would take the idea and run with it.

So, I put Auntie (me)'s stamp on them. There. Now that's a gift from me. We laughed and laughed when she opened her gift. Mainly because it was our own inside joke.  Made me happy. Made me happy to gift. That's what gift giving should do you know?

So, a few sequins, cute fabric, a little zebra and hot pink ribbon, oi la! Blinged out diapers for my baby sister that's having a baby.

I love you C. You've watched me be a mother since you were nine years old.  You've waited patiently for your turn to be a mom and to have a family of your own.  I'm so excited for you.  Your baby is so lucky to have you as her future mommy. You're going to do great.
