One Grateful Girl

I've had an emotional couple of days. It started when I received a letter in the mail from my cute sister-in-law. It was one of those letters that you don't want to put down. When you have a bad day, you pull it out and read it. I read it several times and slept with in on my nightstand. She was our nanny for the summer. She was a natural little mother. She was soooo cute with the kids, she was fun to visit with (since my boys don't do that. It's amazing how lonely you can be when you live with eight people, and no one talks), she was a great organizer, and made me smile whenever I heard her sing "If You Chance To Meet A Frown".

Then, I've found a few friends and young women that I taught in Louisville, and Rapid City. I've had a ball chatting with Amanda from Louisville. We've been catching up with each other. She's as cute as I remember, married and all grown up. She mentioned that she had included me and my burns in her journal. It hit me that we never know what lasting impressions we have on each other. I'm so grateful for the friends that I've made at all the different places that I've lived. How you still love your friends and those cute young women all those years later.

So to all you friends, thank you for your influence, example and friendship. You've helped mold me into the woman that I am today.

it's been so nice to catch up with you too. you are such an amazing woman. and now with 7 children! :) i've kept just a few things from my past, and pulled out an old "Young Women's New Beginnings 1998." The leaders, and our parents, wrote their testimony. i think i will copy yours and email it to you. perfect for what your blog entry is today. it's always nice to go back and see things you have written.
