Those girls are crazy!!!
It's not just the messes anymore. It's their creativity. It's their injuries. It's I want to scream!
I heard a big bang the other day followed by crying. Nothing new. I took my time getting to their room only to find B laying on her bed. I noticed on her forward a HUGE bump. I climbed over the gate, picked her up only to notice that she had turned a basket into a step, climbed on it and pulled the shelf off the wall. Yip, the shelf landed on her head. I ran her downstairs, put ice on her forehead and checked her pupils. She ended up being fine thank goodness, but the room was moved around so that no one could make that mistake again.
I heard the girls crying a couple nights ago after tucking them in bed. As I approached their gate, B said, "S's hurt". I poked my head around the door and saw S laying behind the door. I asked S if she was okay and told her to get up. She continued to cry. The more I looked at her, the more I realized that she wasn't laying on the floor at all. She was dangling from the door. She too, had pulled out a drawer, turned it over for a step and played with the light switch. She must have put her foot into one of the shoe holders hanging over their door. She lost her footing, got her foot tangled up, and took a fall head first while her body dangled by a leg. (Yes, I sure did have S reenact her little accident)
That was it. Time to rearrange again! Today I hired a fix it man to lock up the girls room. He he. I'm so excited. I don't even care how it looks. The closet doors are going to be bolted shut, and the drawers are going to be bungee corded shut. Maybe something more permanent.
I'm done. I am tired.
Did I ever mention how S took a razor and shaved her head a few weeks ago?
And how? How? How in the world did B get up on the washer this morning?
I'm interested in a human cage. If you know of one or two, let me know. I'm interested!
Okay, right now as I'm venting, I see one of the cutest things. B, with her teeny voice, calls S over to lay on her because she's crying. She consoles S, telling her that she'll read her a story, not to pick her boogers, that's yucky, and to lay down with her again so that she can read her a book.
It brings a smile to my face. Then once S is fine, they both climb on my bed and they throw their books down on the floor, mess up my comforter, and head off looking for more things to tear to shreds.
I love them. :)
D's idea--put bumper pads on all walls in their room.

Bravo to the handyman! Bolts and locks may solve the problem or those girls will be forced to become more creative....
That's pretty darn funny..for me anyway! And you have to give them points for ingenuity and creativity.
I kind of know how you feel. My one year old loves to throw everything and anything away in the garbage. Something will go missing, and only after the garbage has been taken out will we realize that maybe HE has thrown it away. That's not it, either. He loves to throw things in the toilet.
I am sorry about the messes, but yahoo for the solution. I guess I'm going to have to take after your example and lock up my garbage cans and toilets.
Your girls are so cute!
What a crack up! I can't wait to come and visit. I have got to stop hassling M about her room. It is nothing compaired to the things your duo does.
You are a trooper! I don't know how you stay sane with that happening everyday. Good luck finding that cage!
Good luck! I hope that doesn't happen to me someday. I probably jinked it.
All I have to say is first Thank God that didn't hit B in the eye! and second, I am soooo glad that i am not the only one that sees mass destruction in her home everyday! :)
